USA - Ecuador Commentary
It's too bad that Mostly Blue and White World doesn't blog more on soccer. Some interesting comments by Appoo on the match. As for me I'd sum it up in that once again Lannycakes steps it up a notch but not in a key match.
Named after the only goalkeeper to win the European Player of the Year award, Lev "The Black Panther" Yashin, this blog is about soccer.

let's hope LD learned his lesson permanently this time...
Amazing isn't it when nothing is on the line, big Landon can figure out how to walk in a straight line. Its great and all that he can score so many goals against Ecuador, and nothing against Ecuador, but lets see him score when it actually matters.
The Landon everyone wants to see is the one who can come up big in the big matches. This was only a friendly, but let's see what he can do once more when the Copa America commences and against top quality competition. It's the closest to the World Cup where the mettle will be tested, at least for now. The memory of 2006 isn't going away until he comes up with something big, and in the big games.
No one is judged in friendlies but in the games that matter.
